SCAN PLATE AI is a nutrition information and tracking tool. It is not a healthcare provider, does not practice medicine or nutrition counseling, and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account and use SCAN PLATE AI.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Acceptable Use

AI-Generated Estimates & Recognition Limitations

Nutrition results are generated by AI analysis of a photograph and/or user input, and are estimates only. Image-based AI can incorrectly identify foods, ingredients, portion sizes, and cooking methods, and can produce inaccurate calorie, macronutrient, and micronutrient values. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting results before relying on them.

No Medical Advice, Diagnosis, or Treatment

Nothing in SCAN PLATE AI constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical or dietary guidance, especially regarding any health condition.

Verify Important Dietary Information

You should independently verify any nutrition information that is important to your health or dietary decisions, particularly before making decisions based on it.

Allergies & Medical Dietary Restrictions

SCAN PLATE AI must NOT be relied upon to determine whether a food contains allergens or is safe for any medical dietary restriction. AI-based food and ingredient recognition can miss or misidentify allergens, hidden ingredients, and cross-contamination risks. Always verify allergen and ingredient information directly with the food's source.

Service Availability

The app, including AI scanning features provided by third-party services, may be temporarily unavailable or degraded due to maintenance, third-party outages, or other factors outside our control.

Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to circumvent usage limits, or violate these Terms.

Intellectual Property

The SCAN PLATE AI name, branding, and application design are the property of their respective owners. You retain ownership of the photos and content you submit.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCAN PLATE AI and its operators are not liable for any decisions made in reliance on nutrition estimates provided by the app, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
